General
Mevalon sells digital software licenses (activation keys) for products such as Kaspersky antivirus software. These are digital products and not physical goods.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers in the UK have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content, provided the license key has not yet been delivered, downloaded, or made available for activation.
14-Day Right to Cancel
Customers may cancel their order within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, as long as the digital key has not yet been:
- Delivered
- Downloaded
- Made available for activation
To exercise this right, the customer must notify Mevalon within 14 days of purchase by email or another clear written statement.
Immediate Delivery and Loss of Cancellation Right
If the customer expressly requests immediate delivery of the digital key, Mevalon may supply the key before the 14-day cancellation period ends.
By requesting immediate delivery, the customer acknowledges that the statutory right to cancel is lost once delivery begins.
Once a license key has been delivered to the customer’s email address and is available for activation, it cannot be:
- Returned
- Refunded
- Exchanged
This applies in cases where the customer has:
- Changed their mind
- Selected the wrong product
- No longer needs the software
Technical Problems / Non-Functioning Keys
If a key cannot be activated or does not work as described through no fault of the customer (e.g. invalid key, wrong format, activation error), the customer should contact Mevalon support within 14 days of purchase.
The customer should provide:
- Order reference or email confirmation
- Date of purchase
- License key (if available)
- Description of the issue
- Screenshots (if possible)
In such cases, Mevalon will:
- Provide a replacement key, or
- Issue a refund if a working replacement cannot be provided
Refund Method
Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method where technically possible (e.g. credit card, PayPal).
Refunds are normally processed within 14 days after approval.
Limitations
A refund or replacement is not available if:
- The key has already been successfully activated and used
- The customer entered the wrong key
- The issue is caused by the customer’s device, internet connection, or incorrect installation
Technical support may still be provided, but this does not create a right to a refund.
Law and Jurisdiction

Customer rights are governed by:
- Consumer Rights Act 2015
- Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
